What Happens During Your Consultation?
The conversation begins with your needs—not with a particular insurance company or plan.
I will learn about your current coverage, providers, prescriptions and concerns. Then we can discuss the Medicare coverage paths and plans I represent that may be appropriate for your situation.
Tell Me About Your Situation
We discuss your Medicare status, current insurance, doctors, prescriptions, budget, travel needs and any coverage problems you are trying to solve.
Compare Your Options
I explain applicable coverage choices, including their costs, provider access, prescription coverage and important limitations.
Decide Without Pressure
You choose whether to keep your current coverage or enroll in something different. There is no obligation to enroll during the consultation.
What Should You Have Available?
Helpful Information
- Your current insurance plan or coverage type
- Names of your doctors and specialists
- Your preferred hospitals and health systems
- A current prescription medication list
- Your preferred pharmacies
- Questions or concerns you want addressed
Medicare Information
If you are already enrolled in Medicare, having your Medicare effective dates and current plan information available can make the consultation more productive.
If you are turning 65 and have not received your Medicare card, we can still discuss general timing and coverage choices.
You do not need to submit your Medicare number through the public scheduling form.
Medicare Options We Can Discuss
Your consultation can focus on one specific question or compare multiple coverage paths.

Learn about Medicare Advantage →Medicare Supplements
Learn how Medigap works with Original Medicare, compare standardized benefits and discuss premiums, eligibility and possible medical underwriting.

Discuss additional coverage offered through certain Medicare Advantage plans or separate dental, vision and hearing insurance products.
Schedule a consultation →Why Work With Thompson Medicare?
I approach Medicare as a problem solver and long-term advocate, not simply as someone completing an enrollment application.
If you enroll through Thompson Medicare Brokerage, I remain available for questions involving providers, prescriptions, plan documents, billing and future enrollment opportunities.

Licensed Medicare Service Area
Thompson Medicare Brokerage provides virtual and telephone Medicare consultations for beneficiaries in nine states, with local service centered around the Houston and Springfield areas of Missouri.
No Consultation Fee
I do not charge beneficiaries a consultation or enrollment fee for assistance with the Medicare insurance plans I represent.
When you enroll in an eligible plan through Thompson Medicare Brokerage, the insurance company may compensate the brokerage. You generally pay the same plan premium whether you enroll through a broker or directly with the insurance company.
No Obligation to Enroll
Scheduling a consultation does not require you to enroll in a plan or change your existing coverage.
Sometimes the appropriate conclusion is to keep what you already have. My goal is to give you enough information to make a confident decision.

Prefer to Research Plans First?
You may review participating Medicare Advantage and Part D options through the online plan-comparison system. I still recommend a consultation before enrollment so we can review your providers, prescriptions and expected costs.
