Medicare Advantage Provider Directory Links: Missouri & Illinois
Find official carrier provider directories and learn what to confirm before relying on a Medicare Advantage network listing in Missouri or Illinois.

Choose the right tool
Start with the Name on Your Plan Card
These links take you to carrier tools for checking doctors and facilities. They are a practical starting point for Missouri and Illinois readers, not a list of every plan available in every county. Availability and network participation depend on the exact plan and year.
Have the full plan name, ZIP code, coverage year and provider’s practice address ready. If you already belong to a plan, its member login may identify the right network more reliably than a general guest search.
Official carrier tools
Open a Provider Directory
| Carrier | Official tool | Before you search |
|---|---|---|
| Aetna Medicare | Open Aetna Medicare directory | Select your individual or employer plan. Illinois D-SNP members should follow Aetna’s separate Illinois D-SNP directory link. |
| Humana | Open Humana directory | Choose Medicare coverage and the exact network or sign in to match your member plan. |
| UnitedHealthcare | Open UnitedHealthcare directory | Choose Medicare or use the member account connected to your exact plan. Have the plan name and member card available. |
| Wellcare | Open Wellcare directory | Select the correct state, product and plan. Match any Wellcare or Meridian branding on your member card. |
| Devoted Health | Open Devoted Health directory | Enter the relevant location and choose the plan and coverage year before relying on a result. |
| Anthem (Missouri) | Open Anthem (Missouri) directory | Select the state, Medicare product and exact plan. A commercial network result is not a Medicare network confirmation. |
Links reviewed for this September 2026 edition. Carrier websites can change and may require JavaScript, location selection or a member login. If a tool will not load, use the verified member-services number on your plan card and ask for help or a printed directory.
Make the result useful
Confirm the Exact Provider, Place and Service
- Match the full plan name and plan year, including the contract/plan identifier if available.
- Check the individual clinician and the exact office address.
- Check the hospital or facility separately from the clinician.
- Ask whether the provider accepts new patients under that plan.
- Confirm relevant referrals, authorizations and scheduled services.
- Save the date, directory result and plan representative’s reference number.
A directory listing is not a guarantee that every service will be covered or every bill will be in network. Ask both the plan and the provider’s billing office to confirm the details. The full network-verification guide explains this process.
Missouri and Illinois
Check Cross-State Care and Dual-Eligible Plans Carefully
Living in one state and seeing a doctor in another adds questions about the plan’s service area and provider arrangements. For Illinois readers using Missouri providers, see our cross-state care guide. Do not assume that a nearby hospital across the river is included just because it is geographically convenient.
For a D-SNP, use the product-specific directory. A Medicare directory and a Medicaid-only directory may serve different purposes. Ask the plan how the service and the provider are handled under your actual dual-eligible coverage. Aetna’s directory page specifically directs Illinois D-SNP members to a separate search.
If answers disagree
Keep the Evidence and Ask the Plan to Resolve It
If the directory lists the provider but the office says it does not accept the plan, ask the insurer to contact the office and explain the discrepancy. Confirm whether the difference involves the location, clinician, product, year or service. Keep screenshots and call notes.
For an established provider leaving a plan, read what to do when a plan loses a doctor or hospital. For upcoming care, ask about continuity arrangements or available alternatives without assuming a particular exception will be approved.
Original Medicare
Need a Different Kind of Provider Search?
For Original Medicare, use Medicare.gov’s Care Compare and ask about Medicare participation and assignment. A Medicare Advantage carrier directory answers a different network question. Medigap generally supplements Original Medicare; Medicare SELECT policies can have additional provider restrictions.
Directory access does not imply that Thompson Medicare Brokerage represents every carrier or endorses a particular provider. The purpose is to help you verify coverage using the organization responsible for the plan.
