Vacation Fills and Extended Supplies Are Plan Specific

A claim can reject as refill too soon when the prior fill should still be in use Some plans may permit an early refill vacation supply or two to three month supply but the drug pharmacy and plan rules determine what is available

2. Call the prescriber and a nearby in network pharmacy
3. Explain whether the medication was lost damaged left behind or unavailable
4. Ask what documentation override or replacement procedure applies
5. If you pay yourself save an itemized receipt and ask whether a claim may be submitted
